More downtown Bellingham offices filled up in the fourth quarter of 2024, according to a report prepared by Ryan A. Martin, co-owner and broker at Pacific Continental Realty in Bellingham.
Bellingham’s office sector made a notable rebound last year after a prolonged period of decline, Martin said. The office vacancy rate citywide fell from 4.7% in the fourth quarter of 2023 to 4.1% in last year’s fourth quarter. Also, the average asking rent for office space increased from $18.24 per square foot to $19.69 per square foot.

to facilitate the development of a comprehensive Strategic Plan that will guide the
organization’s priorities, programs, and long-term sustainability.
We invite proposals from consultants with experience in downtowns, Main street
programs, nonprofit strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and/or BID development
to help shape DBP’s future direction.
DBP is accepting proposals up to $20,000 for the duration of the project

— On Saturday, February 22nd at 7:00 p.m., The United States Coast Guard Band presents a free concert at Western Washington University Performing Arts Center, located at 516 High St. This event is a part of the United States Coast Guard Band’s “Centennial Celebration” Concert Tour, under the direction of Captain Adam R. Williamson. Celebrating its 100th year in operation, your United States Coast Guard Band invites you to join us in its one and only centennial tour. This series of free concerts takes place from February 13th to February 24th throughout the Coast Guard’s Eleventh and Thirteenth Districts.
